The Emergency Medicine Political Action Committee of Illinois (EMPAC) has been a powerful voice and advocate for emergency medicine in Illinois since 1994.

EMPAC strives to improve emergency care for patients and communities by making contributions to candidates and elected officials who are supportive of emergency medicine-friendly policies.

What is a Political Action Committee?

A political action committee (PAC) is a tax-exempt 527 organization that pools campaign contributions from members and donates those funds to campaigns for or against candidates, ballot initiatives, or legislation.

Why Contribute?

Your contribution to EMPAC is more important than ever. Illinois has many new members of the General Assembly, which offers an opportunity for us to make an early impression on members who will advocate for our key causes including:

• Workplace Violence
• Scope of Practice and Ensuring Physician-Led Care Teams
• Patient Boarding
• Medicaid Reimbursement

A copy of our report filed with the State Board of Elections is or will be available for purchase from the State Board of Elections, Springfield, Illinois. Contributions or gifts to the organization are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
