Springfield Physician Selected to Participate in NASA Mission
NASA has big plans in the works to test if we can eventually live life on Mars and a Springfield doctor is getting the chance to be a part of the process.
Nathan Jones, a doctor at Springfield Memorial’s Emergency Department, will be a part of a year-long study known as the Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog, or CHAPEA, the goal is to simulate what crew members may experience in a mission to Mars before sending astronauts into space.
