Call for Nominations and Awards
Interested in serving on the ICEP Board of Directors or as a Councilor? Know of a deserving member who should be recognized with an ICEP award? ICEP is seeking nominations for Board of Directors candidates, Councillors, and ICEP awards.
Board of Directors
Three Active members of the Board of Directors will be elected in 2021. Members serve a 3-year term and may be re-elected to a second 3-year term. The Board of Directors are elected by the ICEP membership (non-Candidate) by online ballot.
Board members whose terms are up in 2021 are: Christine Babcock, MD, FACEP (will remain on Board as president), Scott Heinrich, MD, FACEP, Jason Kegg, MD, FACEP, Henry Pitzele, MD, FACEP (will remain on Board as past president), Wil Sharp, MD, PhD, FACEP, and Ernest Wang, MD, FACEP (ineligible for reelection).
One Resident member will also be elected in 2021. The resident member serves a 1-year term and may be re-elected to a second 1-year term. The resident member of the Board of Directors is elected by the ICEP Candidate membership by online ballot.
ICEP Councillors
Fourteen Councillors will be elected in 201. Councillors serve one year terms and represent ICEP at the ACEP Council Meeting held in conjunction with ACEP21 and are elected by the ICEP Board of Directors.
ICEP Awards
ICEP recognizes its dedicated leaders with three awards, presented each year at the Spring Symposium and Annual Business Meeting. Please consider nominating a colleague for one of ICEP’s awards:
- Bill B. Smiley Award (ICEP’s highest honor)
- ICEP Meritorious Service Award
- Downstate Member Service Award
All nominations must include the following:
- Candidate’s CV
- Cover letter explaining your nomination
- If nominating candidate for multiple positions, please send separate cover letters for each position.
The Awards and Nominating Committee will evaluate all submissions and select the final slate of candidates for each category.
