Have an opportunity to manage unique medical conditions specific to endurance sports like acute hyponatremia and environmental issues. This event has become a staple for our city and Chicago’s medical community has been a leader in this care.
The Bank of American Chicago Marathon is October 11, 2015.
Medical volunteers are a vital part of the event, lending support to thousands of runners on race day. The medical volunteer program, led by ICEP member Medical Director Dr. George T. Chiampas, offers the highest caliber of medical services from its knowledgeable staff and volunteers throughout Grant Park and the course. Medical volunteers will be positioned in one of the medical facilities in Grant Park, along the race course or near the finish line. Volunteers should be 18 years of age or older on race day and should be sure to review the medical volunteer guidelines before registering.
