Committee Interest Due By September 5, 2018
ICEP is excited to announce the launch of our newest committee on Social Emergency Medicine.
The Social Emergency Medicine Committee aims to foster awareness of the social determinants of health, with an emphasis on advocacy and policy change, education, and research. The committee welcomes members with an interest in decreasing health disparities in emergency care through systematic interventions that address the social context of patients in urban, rural and international settings.
We are excited to bring ICEP members together to work on relevant initiatives throughout the state, and we would love to hear from all members who would like to be involved in this effort.
To apply, please email your contact information and a short statement about why you would like to be a part of the ICEP Social Emergency Medicine Committee to ICEP staff member Kate Blackwelder at kateb@icep.org. We will follow up with a survey to assess the interests of our committee members and coordinate our first meeting in the coming months.
All Social EM Committee interest applications are due September 5.
