Dear ICEP members,

I am writing to you to inform you of the recent departure of our Executive Director, Bailey McMurray. I thank her for her service to our organization over the last two years and wish her well as she makes this transition in her career.

I am happy to announce that our former Executive Director, Ginny Kennedy Palys has kindly agreed to serve as ICEP’s Interim Executive Director until we can identify and hire a replacement for Ms. McMurray. As many of you are aware, Ginny served as our Executive Director for 38 years and has been honored with many awards including having the ICEP Ginny Kennedy Palys Annual Symposium formerly known as the Spring Symposium bear her name. I encourage you to reach out and thank Ginny for stepping up to help during this difficult time.

Finally, I want to express my extreme gratitude for what you all do for your patients and the specialty of emergency medicine daily (all with little recognition or fanfare). It is through your efforts that our communities receive care in emergencies and have the healthcare safety nets that they do.
